Animal Sciences

This study program enables you to become an expert in animal sciences. You will get knowledge of agriculture as a human activity and of the agricultural profession in a broader sense.

Animal Sciences program is conceived as 3 years lasting study with application of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

Depending on the elected modules, students may be educated for independent work within a narrower professional area, or on family farms. For a Bachelor's degree, 2 months of internship are obligatory, in order to prepare students for team and individual work, as well as for professional communications (seminars, analyses, writing applications and reports on projects, public notifications).

The undergraduate study is adjusted to enable other graduate studies to be taken within the field of biotechnological sciences (Forestry and Food, and biotechnical faculties at the University of Zagreb), as well as related studies in Croatia and abroad. After you acquire BSc degree, you can directly enroll studies on Faculty of Agriculture, such as Animal Nutrition and Food; Meat Production and Processing; Milk Production and Processing; Genetics and Animal Breeding; Fishery and game.
