Landscape Architecture

   

Landscape architecture is a wide interdisciplinary profession. Therefore numerous and various fields of knowledge are given to the students. The course is combined of four main knowledge branches: - Basic natural sciences, - Basic social sciences, - Knowledge and skills defining the profession, - Knowledge and skills of related technical disciplines.

The aim of the this three year undergraduate study programme is to teach candidates to design demanding tasks in landscape architecture appropriate to their level of education, to make plans of planting and situations of landscape civil engineering works (CAD and GIS) and to manage administrative procedures. The focus is on training candidates in drawing skills and computer work, providing them with a technical foundation (techniques and a knowledge of landscape structure), to recognise and to know natural and cultural characteristics of the landscape, and to know administrative procedures. Candidates will acquire basic competences in landscape architecture, as well as in management and supervision of tasks in landscape architecture.
