Under-graduate study "Agricultural engineering" is providing a multidisciplinary knowledge and abilities in the field of biotechnical sciences. In plant and horticultural production, besides primary equipment and machinery, special emphasis is put on production area arrangement as well as in preserving the amelioration and irrigation systems. This study comprises of post-harvest technology, process engineering and biofuels' production from agriculture as well as learning the infrastructure in livestock production, from facilities to production equipment. "Agricultural engineering" is structurally adjusted (3-year cycle and 180 ECTS points) to other studies within the field of biotechnical sciences, as well as to other related studies in Croatia and abroad. A large number of elective modules are anticipated together with the optional student exchange in duration of one semester outside the Faculty of Agriculture. Study efficiency is based on higher student engagement (homework, seminars, laboratory practice,.) and lesser number of lectures. Expert project and obligatory praxis of at least two months tend to deepen the understandings in agricultural engineering and evolve the student's ability for team and individual work as well as business communication. Study "Agricultural engineering" qualifies students for the continuation of the study. After finishing the under-graduate study, student is able to continue its graduate study within the same program, and can choose between two courses, "Agricultural mechanization" and "Agricultural amelioration". |
