Volume 2 (2001) Number 3-4

Due to the activity of Slovakian Editorial board, Journal of Central European Agriculture progressed dramatically last year and the second issue of the Journal for 2001 with seventeen reviewed articles has been produced. The development of information technology and our choice to publish the Journal in the electronic form, which we are all growing more familiar with day by day, led to increasing popularity of JCEA. Thus, at the International Editorial Board (IEB) meeting at Nitra, Slovakia, on 30th of Nov. 2001, we welcomed the national boards of Agricultural University Plovdiv, Bulgaria; University of South Bohemia, Faculty of Agriculture, Budejovice, Czech Republic; Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, Ljubljana as associate members for the next two years. Based on their national board activity, they will be re-elected after the first year, and elected full members of the Journal after their second active year. All these countries from Central Europe recognise their interest in developing national language, sharing problems in agriculture in transition, as well as sharing research results with the neighbouring countries.
