Journal of Central European Agriculture, Volume 5 (2004) Number 2

EDITORIAL

Dear readers and colleagues,
The second issue of the JCEA´s 5th volume has been viewed on your computers. Since the beginning of this year, the Czech republic national editorial board which is performing a function of the main editorial board this year, has recieved a lot of papers not only from the member countries, but also from scientific institutions of some African and Asian countries. This is an indication that the international web-based journal JCEA´s prestige is increasing and the journal is comming to be known in the area of agricultural science. Reviewing of each article by two reviewers from two JCEA member states increases the scientific level of published papers. However, the number of papers which were sent back to the author for rewriting or wich weren´t accepted because of the reviewer´s rejecting increased. But we consider this development positive with reference to continually rising of the scientific level. The promptnes of reviews´ processing still remains problematic, because the important experts in each area of agriculture, who are employed by the national editorial boards as reviewers are very engaged and the reviews aren´t processed during three weeks, as required. We hope, that we will be able to solve this problem soon.
We wish all the readers a lot of interesting information and all the authors a lot of success in scientific work and in publishing their results.
